There’s going to be a new and exciting scheme for young Indian professionals wanting to live and work in Australia for two years. The new Mobility Arrangement for Talented Early-professionals Scheme or ‘MATES’ is a new scheme, to enable the temporary mobility of Indian university graduates and early career professionals.
MATES aims to encourage mutually-beneficial skills and knowledge transfer between Australia and India.
MATES will be open to INDIAN NATIONALS who are aged 30 or under, with proficient English language skills and who have graduated within 2 years from an eligible educational institution at the time of their application. These young professionals must hold a qualification (Bachelor’s degree or higher) in one of the following:
– renewable energy
– mining
– engineering
– Information Communications Technology (ICT)
– artificial intelligence (AI)
– financial technology (FinTech)
– agricultural technology (AgriTech).
Eligible candidates will not require to be sponsored by Australian employers and will be permitted to live and work in Australia for up to 2 years. Candidates will also be permitted to apply for dependent visas (spouses and dependent children).
MATES will start at the end of 2024 with only 3,000 spots available.
