AUSTRALIA TO OPEN BORDER RESTRICTIONS FOR ITS CITIZENS AND PERMANENT RESIDENTS!!

Prime Minister Scott Morrison announced that full Vaccinated Australians or Permanent Residents  aged 12 and over would be allowed to travel Internationally from NOVEMBER onwards.

Even Children who are under 12 and those who cannot be vaccinated for medical reasons will also be able to travel without any exemptions. More information  on this will be provided soon.

While States and territories will determine and manage the quarantine arrangements, travellers coming to respective state and territories must check the quarantine arrangements before travelling. It mostly will include reduced home quarantine of 7 days.
Temporary visa holders and visitors still have to wait before they plan to travel to Australia, as the policies for them are  being considered.


SOUTH AUSTRALIA Opens up to an additional 70 Occupations for applicants currently residing OFFSHORE from 28th September 2021.

Nomination for South Australia can be obtained by prospective applicants fulfilling the State specific requirements and their skills being listed as an available  occupation on its demand list. Offshore applicants need to lodge a Registration of Interest (ROI)

Minimum requirements for state nomination includes :
– At least 8 years of Work experience in the nominated occupation or closely related  occupation.

-Proficient plus English Test Results.

It being a Competitive process, does not guarantee receiving an invitation to apply after an ROI has been lodged, and minimum requirements are satisfied.


New South Wales SKILLED MIGRATION UPDATE:

 NSW has again open its submission window for the entire month of October 2021 for Subclass 491 visa.

One must submit a new Registration of Interest (ROI), to be considered for Nomination from NSW. Submission of ROI does not guarantee an Invitation to Apply for NSW Nomination.

To ensure the ROI is considered, one must fulfil the Nomination requirements for Skilled Work regional Visa (Subclass 491)

NSW Nomination demand will greatly exceed the number of places available in the October submission. Hence, one has to keep exploring other options available through Department of Home affairs.


QUEENSLAND NOMINATION PROGRAM DELAYED

The Migration Queensland Program opening date has been delayed due to a final round of industry consultation by a Queensland Government Department to determine program requirements. There is no specific Opening date, but it is expected to open as soon as consultations are concluded.

Here again, the State Nomination program is by invitation only with Limited Nominations and as there is  no guarantee of one being selected  for nomination.
