Express Entry delivers the largest quarter of 2019

Express Entry is one of  Canada’s widely recognized immigration selection system around the world when it comes to driving immigrants for the country’s economic growth.

The Government of Canada has set a goal of admitting entry to a million new permanent residents by the end of 2021. As per the last three months, there were 21,600 new express entries making it one of the busiest quarters so far this year along with 21,200 new Invitation to Apply for Permanent Residency.

The Express Entry system provides immigration opportunities to eligible candidates only if they pass one of the three economic immigration programs: the Federal Skilled Trades Class, Canadian Experience Class or the Federal Skilled Worker Class. Candidates submitting profiles are selected based on their ranks as per the Comprehensive Ranking System; other factors may include age, education, skilled work experience and proficiency in English or French.

With regards to the Invitation to Apply;, these are only provided to a certain set of highly ranked candidates in the Express Entry pool held every two weeks. The province and territories of Canada also hold the power to select Express Entry candidates for provincial nomination; in which once selected the candidates to receive additional 600 points and considered for an Invitation.
