Ontario has recently announced that a new strategy will be implemented for the week beginning June 26 for all candidates in the Express Entry pool for immigration to Canada, with work experience in the ICT sector.
Until recently, Ontario searched the Express Entry pool and issued Notifications of Interests (NOIs) to those with at least 400 CRS points. The newly implemented strategy will now allow the government of Ontario to issue NOIs to those candidates who have work experience in a specific target occupation identified by the OINP (Ontario Immigrant Nominee Program)
This now means that it is very possible for ICT workers to be issued a NOI by the Ontario government, EVEN IF THEIR CRS SCORES ARE BELOW 400.
