There are 70 new occupations on South Australia’s Skilled Occupation list for overseas applicants. This means that if you would like a skilled work visa to be in Australia, the opportunity you have been waiting for may be in South Australia!
Several occupations have been included on the list. These include advertising, Public Relations, Sales, Marketing and many more.
Applicants must be offshore and must have an English proficiency plus level in order to be eligible for nomination.
Eligible offshore applicants must submit a Registration of Interest (ROI) and applicants must not be over 45 years of age.
Applicants must also undergo a skills assessment to decide whether they have the right skills for this type of visa.
Many of the new occupations on South Australia’s Skilled Occupations list are unique to South Australia and present a fantastic opportunity for many immigrants.
Further, from November 2, 2021, 24 Engineering occupations are added on the South Australia list. These include Civil, Mechanical, Chemical, Electronics, Electrical Engineers…just to name a few!!
The minimum requirements for state nomination for these occupations include:
- You must have at least eight years work experience in the nominated or closely related occupation
- You must demonstrate a Superior English level, unless you hold an eligible passport from a country where the primary language is English (the United Kingdom, the United States of America, New Zealand, Ireland and Canada)
- You must score at least 85 points for the Skilled Work Regional visa (subclass 491) in the Department of Home Affairs’ points test.
