The Government of Canada has announced its plan to invite 23,100 interested potential sponsors through lottery for the Parents Grandparents program 2022.
IRCC (Immigration Refugees and Citizenship Canada) will issue Invitations to Apply to the interested potential sponsors from the pool who expressed their interest in sponsoring their parents and grandparents by submitting their interest to Sponsor forms on the IRCC’s website between 12pm ET on October 13 th 2020 and 12 pm ET on November 3,2020 (Autumn 2020).
Due to the Coronavirus pandemic many families have faced loss of income and to deal with this concern IRCC has lowered its Minimum Necessary Income (MNI) by 30 percent for the financial years of 2021 and 2020. Having said the above, the key eligibility factor for the Parents Grandparents program is the Minimum Necessary Income (MNI).
